Little update Nov 17 2024

 A New Chapter for Zipolita

Hello, beautiful souls! 💖

It’s been a while—more than a decade, actually—since I last wrote here, and so much has happened. Looking back at my 2011 post, I’m reminded of how excited and grateful I felt when I branded myself as *Zipolita*. It was such a defining moment for me as an artist, giving me clarity and confidence in my creative journey. That name, logo, and vision board represented a fresh start, and I’m happy to say that the foundation I built then has continued to inspire and guide me.

But let’s catch up, shall we? Here's a little glimpse into what's unfolded since:

Creative Adventures

- I’ve worked on several amazing projects, from writing books to exploring visual storytelling through photography, videos, and even animations. If you’re curious, you can still find traces of my journey on my other blogs and platforms.

- Recently, I’ve been focusing on pairing meditation scripts with my photography and videos, creating serene and calming content. This project is dear to my heart, as it’s a way to spread peace and resilience to others. 🌿

Expanding Horizons

- My blogging evolved over time as I shared travel stories, activism insights, and reflections on issues close to my heart. From environmental and social justice to local advocacy, I’ve been pouring my energy into making a difference.

- I’ve even started writing books! They dive into topics like processed foods, censorship, social assistance policies, and ethics. It’s been an intense yet rewarding journey of research and storytelling. 📚

Challenges and Growth

Like many of us, I’ve faced challenges along the way—whether navigating personal setbacks or societal shifts—but these experiences have deepened my understanding and passion for the work I do. They’ve also reminded me of the importance of gratitude, which has always been at the heart of my creative and personal growth.

Looking Ahead

So, what’s next?

This blog has always been a space for creativity and connection, and I’d love to rekindle that spark here. I plan to share updates on my projects, revisit some old dreams, and continue focusing on positive, uplifting content. I might also reflect on some of the lessons I’ve learned over the years, so stay tuned for that!

As I re-open this chapter, I want to thank all of you who have followed my journey. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just stumbled across this post, I’m grateful for your presence.

Here’s to dreaming big and making those dreams a reality!

With love, light, and endless creativity,

Tina Winterlik aka Zipolita

🌟 Many Blessings, Prayers & Positive Energy to you all! 🌟

P.S. Don’t forget to check out my older blogs and follow me on social media if you want to see what I’ve been up to. Let’s continue this adventure together!

Well the New Year is almost upon us. It's been an amazing year and you can read more about it on my other blogs but for now I just wanted to mention how grateful I am for everything that happened this year.

Something I am truly grateful for is that I finally branded myself Zipolita. While this may not seem important to you, for me as an artist with many talents I felt I had a difficult time simply telling people what I did.  I was all over the place. I planned it for a long time but making it a reality was so rewarding.

Everything changed when I created the name Zipolita and all the matching logos, headers, backgrounds.

Everything became clear, clean and concise.

It made me feel calm and collected. It's what I needed. With that so many things fell into place and I am truly grateful for that.

I hope to blog a bit more here. I know it's really random and I apologize. I am just so busy with so many other things, as you can see in my other blogs I can not promise anything.

I am going to keep going with my vision board though, so maybe one of the things I can promise is to focus on my vision board to make all my dreams reality. So stay tuned.

I did list my dreamz on Zipolita'z and Angelita'z Adventurez in Mexico blog so you can see them but I will break them down here more.

Until I do,
We wish you a year full of peace, great health, creativity, happiness, enlightenment & miracles.

So have been wondering what should I post on my Zipolita blog, now that I have re-branded myself and it just came to me. I will make this my VISION BOARD!

I remember watching "The Secret" and I made this cool Vision Journal. Many of those hopes and  aspirations have come true. So they say if you want to make it happen, you have to say so.

So here is dreaming praying and projecting. I am going to get a Cob House like one of these!

It can be used to create artistic, sculptural forms and has been revived in recent years by the natural building and sustainability movements. Read More Here

Note: Nov 9/2012 Just to update this. I did create a logo and you can read more about my branding updates here. Gracias!
http://zipolitazwebdezign.blogspot.mx/2012/10/zipolita-branding-background-headers.html

The last two days I worked so hard but it's all come together now. I rebranded and updated all my blogs and created new headers and backgrounds for all my social media accounts,  so now they all have a similar theme. Watch the blue flower...it's sort of my logo, but that's next...I'll figure one out one of these days. I added links to all my blogs on the right so have a peak when you have a chance. Take care

Funny was just looking at the stats and one of my blogposts that was recently view was the one about "Suddenly I'm .ca"  well now that I'm in Mexico all my blogs are .mx. so that's interesting. I had to go in and change my links on my signature and stuff  but the original links still work it just re-directs you.

Been super busy. Last night stayed up til 5am because I want to post some videos I had made for Gloria of Shambhala. Gloria's home was severely damaged by Hurricane Carlota as well as Shambhala and Bohemia but they have been working hard and it's looking really good. Here's one video, check the links for the others.

http://adventurezinmexico.blogspot.mx/
http://adventurezinmexico.blogspot.mx/2012/10/shambhala-vision-recovering-well-after.html

I also rebranded and re-named a few of my blogs, poco un poco, little by little I am rebranding everything to be Zipolita.
http://zipolitazvideoz.blogspot.mx/
http://zipolitazwebdezign.blogspot.mx/
http://zipolitazpaintingz.blogspot.mx/
http://zipolitazphotoz.blogspot.mx/

I've been created lots of videos here in Zipolite - I have many examples of my video skills. I have been focusing on the business in the Roca Blanca area, but I would like to do it for the whole beach. I think that would be really cool to have a collection of videos of all the businesses and artists and vendor in Zipolite. I'm happy promoting them as they have had it hard first with Hurricane Carlota and then just very little tourism.

On our first day back I made this video blogpost http://adventurezinmexico.blogspot.mx/2012/09/zipolite-needs-you-now-more-than-ever.html

That will change soon though. There's a big celebration- CARNAVAL ZIPOLITE planned for the end of the first week in November. There's going to be a parade and rides and belly dancing, and lots of musical groups, sand sculptures and Magical Family Event, so that should be very exciting. http://carnavalzipolite.com/carnavalzipolite/Inicio.html

Flash Mobs- RAISE THE WAGE!!

Blog post by Tina Winterlik © 2012
http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.com
http://twitter.com/#!/zipolita @zipolita
http://gplus.to/zipolita Google+

Oh Wow! This is the coolest video of  Flash Mob. Black Eyed Peas performing for Oprah's 24th season. My friend shared it with me on Facebook this morning and it got me thinking. I have this crazy idea, let's put a little buzz out there. Anyone living in Vancouver knows that the minimum wage is IMPOSSIBLE TO LIVE ON!

Now some people think that raising the minumin wage is not the answer and you can see some opinions here. http://www.vancitybuzz.com/2011/03/bc-increases-minimum-wage-to-10-25/

But I disagree. At $15 an hour, a single parent could actually work part-time, ideally between 10-2 and still be able to earn enough to actually pay the rent and buy groceries...as opposed to having to be on Social Assistance or depend on someone for help.

Things may go up but these people could actually afford to buy extras.  As it is, these people can not even make the groceries last the entire month because there is just not enough money to do so. There is no extra money for anything and people on assistance are not even allow to earn extra or it's clawedback.

I have alot of reasons why we need to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour but the most important is that which I'm telling you right now "it would pull a ton of children out of poverty".

B.C. has the HIGHEST poverty rate in Canada. It's shameful and it needs to be changed.

There are a ton of single moms and dads that want to work but they can't pull in the money they need to care for their kids and actually be there for them.

These parents who are working full-time and barely seeing their kids and having strangers raise them would instead be able to work while their child is in school and be able to spend quality precious time with their children.  Their children could grow up into healthy happy adults KNOWING their parent was ACTUALLY  there for them and NOT at work.

These parents, they don't want to be part of the welfare system. Jagrup Brar has shown what an evil unfair and abusive system it is and how it creates more poverty than it solves. http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.ca/2012/02/jagrup-is-home.html
http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.ca/2012/01/video-poverty-journey-by-mla-jagrup.html
http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.ca/2011/03/dignity-project.html

Anyways, I have an idea of how to bring awareness to this and to create a positive form of protest.

A Flashmob.

I know just the song- we need to change the words and we need to choregraph it but it would be so cool and so much good will come from it. So what do you think, shall we get this ball rolling. Share and spread the word about this post. Please contact me Facebook if you like this idea and want to be part of it. https://www.facebook.com/zipolita

It should be done soon.  The plan is to raise it to $10.25 in May 2012. We need to change that to $15. Gordon Campbell dug this hole that we are in, maybe Christie Clark can do the decent thing and right a horrible wrong and make the children of this province a PRIORITY and help their parents care for them and raise them in a healthy happy way and raise them and their parents out of poverty.

NOTE: Canada sticks it's nose into alot of other countries problems and wags a finger but there's no place like home and in your own backyard. So come on B.C. let's clean up this mess. FOR THE CHILDREN'S SAKE. For our FUTURE.

Anyone can start a Flashmob, why can't we?

A TED speaker's worst nightmare or is it? ;)

Testing Logo

Okay, so I'm testing out this logo. This is sort of the direction I am heading. I like the chameleon idea as it means change. I seem to be in constant change, just like the internet, just like life. What do you think? I've working to long today, this image is not the final product. I just wanted to try it.

Hi, Welcome! If you haven't been here before, I am glad your here. I have a lot to share but not much time to do it. I'm busy! Busy like a little bee.

You see for over a year now I have been experimenting with Social Media. Watching. Testing, Repeating, Changing. So many things keep changing. Anyways I have multiple blogs and I tried driving traffic to them to see what was the best way and at the same time tried to find ways of promoting myself and others. It's been an interesting year I must say.

One thing that I decided last year was to start calling myself Zipolita. You see Tina in Spanish means Bathtub! Cute eh! But if I wrote that for my blog AdventureZ in Mexico, which originally could have been Adventures of Tina (Bathtub), well you see my point. It's not to cool. That's not to say there are not lots of Spanish/Mexico woman named Tina. In Mexico some people like to call me Cristina. Which is not my name...Christina is, but they don't usually spell it that way there.

I have a blog by my name Tina Winterlik. It does okay, I have had the most traffic on it. But the name Winterlik, that's another issue, not to catchy, hard to remember, unique yes, but people can never spell it right, always putting in an "n" or "c" at the end,...winterlink, winterlick....Nope! these are not my names. So I need a new name.

I thought maybe I could use my daughter's name- Angel name for some things...name my blogs after her...my dad named his boat after me...

Originally Adventurez in Mexico,  the blog was called Adventures of Angel but that I found confused people, they didn't know what it was about. So upon return home from Mexico, I made that blog private and started an entirely new one "Adventurez in Mexico!" I used a z as Adventures was all taken.

I knew I would need to promote it with Social Media and I was learning it as fast as everyone else, plus I took a course in it at Emily Carr called "FIND YOU SOCIAL MEDIUM" and I thought I could figure it out. I had started a blog called Social Media Super Hero. This was to attract as much attention I could get. On that blog I tried to let people know I could help them with Social Media. I didn't grab the facebook page though, so just so you know that's not me. I did grab Facebook pages for Adventurez in Mexico, Tina Winterik, Tina'z Social Media Workshop and Zipolita.

As I said I have multiple blogs and what I wanted to do was bring them all together under one roof. I liked the name Zipolita- Zipolite is so beautiful and "ita" means small when you add it to a word in Spanish. So I always say I carry a little of Zipolite in my heart everywhere I go. So I started calling myself Zipolita online everywhere.

I liked the Z idea, and so I added a Z to everything. Like the N in Nike I am trying to emulate what works. Adventurez in Mexico, Tina'z Blog, Tina'z Social Media Workshop, Zipolita...so I was getting there.

I figured out that blogger would let me link my blogs all together using tabs, ...most of them. But then something went wonky and some links didn't work.

During all this I came up with this fabulous idea to create online workshops that teach Social Media to Stay at Home Moms! but I worked too hard and got sick...and I put it on the back burner. That was a year ago. I'm a single mom who was homeschooling and dealing with all sorts of issues and just put in too many hours to be healthy. But I haven't given up. I'm healthy and things are coming together. Winter is over!!! Almost! and spring is on it's way and it's a whole new ballgame :)

So I am pulling that idea out again and I have a new plan and I'm going to plough ahead!!

First things first! BRANDING! This has been the big stalling point! Choosing the colours and the logo has been hard. I am still fiddling with it, but it's coming along nicely. As I tweek things I will keep you all up to date of my latest endevours. In just the last two days I have accomplished alot

  • So now you will see that this blog, Zipolita, links to all my other 8 blogs and they link back to here.
  • All my blogs have a tab to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin, Google+(coming)Oops forgot, Faa-Fine Art America
  • All blogs have the same Header text and mention Zipolita in some form
  • My twitter background now matches my Zipolita blog colours/font
I have other tasks to work on, but it's coming together..baby steps...again. I need a true logo, ideas are flowwing and soon I will have it.

My two blogs to watch will be Adventurez in Mexico and Zipolita'z Social Media- which I renamed

My plan is to finish my short film but I am going to break it down though into 30 minutes each and add extra footage and narration to make them more interesting and informative.

I'm going to give away free Wallpapers and E-cards for people who visit my site (see below)

On my Zipolita'z Social Media I plan on finishing all my videos and posting them for free and then letting everyone know I am available for Social Media Services.

I have other fabulous plans too but this is all I'm going to share at the moment. As it is it's quite industrious and I sure hope I conquer it. Time will tell. I appreciate you support. Thanks for dropping by.

And to say THANK YOU here is a lovely photo I took in Zipolite.

You may print it for PERSONAL USE ONLY. I hope you enjoy it.

With love from Zipolita aka Tina Winterlik

Awakening Signs From Free Your Mind 4evr

Blog post by Tina Winterlik © 2011
http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.com
http://twitter.com/#!/zipolita @zipolita
http://gplus.to/zipolita Google+

This is from Youtube Channel FREE YOU MIND 4EVR

  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKoQ3lNlRFA&NR=1

More Awakening Signs include:

-A feeling that something has changed within you

You simply feel different, you may not look any different but you know something has changed internally. Your old ways are falling by the wayside and the real you is starting to emerge.

-An increase in occurrences of coincidence

Better known as synchronicity, favourable people and beneficial circumstance start to appear with exactly what you need. Answers to questions are revealed to you through signs and messages. Synchronicity is a sign you are on the right track and that you are aware of these miracles happening around you. The more you notice and take heed, the more they appear so show appreciation for the guidance you are receiving.

-Quicker manifestations

Spiritual awakening raises your vibration; this involves a release of blockages which allows abundance to flow to you. Being in alignment with a higher vibration results in quicker and more beneficial manifestations to be received by you. Be aware of your thoughts so you get what you really want or better.

-Paying more attention to the details of daily life

-A desire to enroll in a classroom of "higher" learning

-Seeking new friends and groups who are interested in the Integrated life of the spirit (meaning balance in mind-body-spirit)

-Going to new places and moving outside of your comfort zone
